Using the Software

-- Prefer low resolution pictures for mobile version of program.
-- Note: The top of the map image should point to the North.
Plan your map in order to have the SetPoint (Lat,Long : degrees and full minutes
and Distance (M) in the upper left corner of the image. This is because of calibration.
-- Take a picture of the map you want. Give it a descriptive name. You may also use
scanned maps installed to My Documents\My Pictures folder. The scanned file should
not be much larger than 64 KB in mobile version.
No restrictions for PC/laptop version.
-- Mobile version buttons:
------Enter = choose a map from your My Pictures folder
------Left = end using application (in map view)
------Menu (left) = (in calibration view) back to previous map

Calibration:

-- Check your GPS receiver is online on COM6 port. Open "chartplotter" from Start menu.
-- Click <enter> in welcome view / choose a map/chart you previously saved.
-- Enter SetPoint Lat and Long : in degrees, full minutes , N/S or W/E
-- SetPoint : click Lat/Long active and mark the corresponding point on your map.
Click Ok.
-- Distance : click M active and mark vertically the endpoints of one nautical mile
distance (1852 meters or 1.15 statute miles). Click Ok.
-- Before you click the overall <Ok/Save calibration> on the right you can correct your
markings using Act and Ok buttons.
-- Note: If you need to recalibrate you can manually delete the data of the map
in question from My Documents\My Pictures\KarttaData.txt file (Mobile) or
Program Files\Chartplotter\... (laptop/WinXP)
